So easy Totes!

Step 1

Make the square of your choice - any size will do.

You can make a pieced square and quilt it or use a pre-printed fabric.

Step 2

Next, make 2 long handles the length you wish. Double the size you wish the handle to be. Fold and sew 1/8 inch seam, turn and press.

Step 3

Pin handles in position of your choice to the front. Pin the lining to the front panel.

Stitch 1/4" across all layers & press.

Step 4

Repeat step 3 for back panel and inside lining.

Step 5

Pin both right sides together. Tuck handles inside and pin if needed so they will not get in stitching.

Stitch 1/4" all the way around.

Leave opening for turning.

Step 6

Turn right sides out.

Whip stitch opening.

Press all.

Tuck lining down inside tote bag.

Step 7 (optional)

You can topstitch 1/8"-1/4" from top if you would like.

Personally, I think it finishes the tote up and looks so nice!
