Hello, my name is Katrina Blankenship.  I am a quilter ... and LOVE quilts.  I especially love old fashioned quilts.  What are "old fashioned quilts" you may ask?  The ones made with love by hand.

I have always had a passion for quilts.  My mother taught me to quilt when I was about 14 years old.  I have always had an eye for color and patterns.   I took to quilting like peanut butter and jelly and have made many, many quilts and projects over the years.

Throughout my childhood and now my married life, my family has spent lots of time in "Amish Country".  My dearest friends are Amish and Mennonite and my husband and I belong to a conservative old fashioned Baptist Church where we consider ourselves also among the "Plain People".

I am a web designer and work from home.  This way I can cook and garden and can and see to my son and family and quilt and all those wonderful things that a "mom" is blessed to do.  ( ^"To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed." Titus 2:5)  I also enjoy photographing God's beautiful earth and blessings to numerous to count.  So I bring to you this website to help my friends and to share much with you.  I have spent many days browsing their quilt shops and wanted to have a place to showcase their fine works and skills and talents given to them by a very loving God. 

Many travel and visit "Amish Country" and now as you visit, you'll know where to find all the special little shops to buy quilts, quilted items, fabric, patterns, notions and more.  Be sure to stop in to visit.  This is their livelihood and they really appreciate your business.
